ANTHONY BURGESS (Author), 1917-1993, was a writer, poet, playwright, composer, linguist, translator and critic. He is best known for his dystopian novel A Clockwork Orange, but altogether he wrote thirty-three novels, twenty-five works of non-fiction, two volumes of autobiography, three symphonies, hundreds of other musical works, and thousands of essays, articles and reviews. Born John Burgess Wilson in Manchester, England, he later lived in Malaya, Malta, Monaco, Italy and the United States. One of the most important literary figures of the latter half of the twentieth century, his books are still widely read all over the world.


ALEXANDRA SPENCER-JONES (Director) is also the Director of Gobsmacked! Worldwide Tour. She is Artistic Director of the theatre company ACTION TO THE WORD with which her A Midsummer Night’s Dream recently premiered at the National Theatre and her Dracula played the Arts Theatre London. She won the MTM:UK award for Best Emerging Artist for the writing and direction of Constance & Sinestra and the Cabinet of Screams which played at the New Wimbledon Theatre. Other credits as Director: Our Lady of 121st Street (Stratford Circus), All Day Permanent Red (Royal Court), RENT (Birmingham Hippodrome), Cloud 9 (Birmingham Crescent) and The Priory (Birmingham Crescent).


JAMES BAGGALEY (Lighting Design) James has lit Clockwork since its first outing in 2009, with his other work for Action To The Word including Constance & Sinestra, Titus Andronicus, Agamemnon, and The Merchant of Venice. He is Strategy Director at Made Media and trustee of the UK based charities Stagetext and Potential Difference Theatre.


EMMA WILK (Sound Design) Emma Wilk is an NYC-based sound designer. Recent credits include: Raisin (APAC), The King Stag (The New School), Lost Voices (HERE Arts Center), Miss Oriental (Glicker-Millstein), Big River, Gypsy, Quartet, (Sharon Playhouse), Gorey (HERE Arts Center), Visiting Hours (TheaterLab), The Way We Get By (American Theater Group).


JENNIFER A. JACOB (Costume Coordinator) Jennifer is thrilled to be a part of the Clockwork company! In NYC she has designed for APAC and the Fringe Festival, as well as being an assistant on numerous Broadway and Off-Broadway productions. She is on the costume staff at the Metropolitan Opera. Education: KU and UNC-CH/PRC.


GLENN GREGORY & BERENICE SCOTT (Original Music) Glenn Gregory and Berenice Scott have worked as Afterhere for 5 years. Glenn is lead vocalist with Heaven 17, Berenice a multi-instrumentalist and singer from London. Together they compose compelling and provocative music for Film, Television and Stage and have completed an album of original songs for release 2018.
